preparation:

Using fir oil as the raw material for synthesizing methyl cedar wood ether, 3,6,8,8-tetramethyloctahydro-1H-3a,7-methylene azulene-6-ol separated from fir oil and benzyl The sodium reaction yields sodium 3,6,8,8-tetramethyloctahydro-1H-3a,7-methyleneazolyl-6-alkoxide, which is then methylated with dimethyl sulfate to form a salt. And methylation reaction produces methyl cedar wood ether (10-methoxy-2,2,6,10-tetramethyltricyclo-[5,3,1,03,7]-undecane).
